Spin the wheel
Spin the wheel and let it decide. Type or paste your entries, press spin, and a fair random draw picks the winner, with a tick as it turns and confetti when it lands. Everything runs in your browser and your wheels save on this device, free and with no signup.
Also known as: wheel spinner, random picker wheel, spinner wheel, prize wheel, wheel decide.

Ways to use the wheel
Deciding something
Type the options, spin once, do what it says. Dinner, the next movie, who goes first, which task to start with: anything you can list, the wheel can settle.
Picking a name
Paste a list of names and draw one at random: a student to answer, a raffle winner, the next presenter. That job has its own page, with remove-after-spin as the default habit.
How to make a spin the wheel
- Add your entries. Type them one at a time, or paste a whole list into the text box, one entry per line. Six sample foods are on the wheel when it opens so you can spin before you type anything. Colors are assigned automatically and you can change any of them.
- Weight the odds if you want to. Every entry has a weight, and the default is even odds. Give an entry weight 2 and its slice doubles, along with its chance of winning. Leave the weights alone for a fair draw; the wheel is honest either way and the slice sizes always show the real odds.
- Spin. Click the wheel, press the spin button, or hit the space bar. The wheel accelerates, ticks past each entry, and eases to a stop over two to ten seconds, however long you set it. The winner pops up with confetti, and every result is kept in a history list.
- Remove the winner and go again. The result dialog offers to remove the winner so the next spin draws from whoever is left, which is how you draw second and third place. You can also switch on remove-after-spin so it happens automatically, or hide entries by hand without deleting them.
What you can do
- Truly random draws from your browser's cryptographic random generator, not a lookup table.
- Weighted entries: give any option a bigger slice and better odds.
- Remove the winner after each spin, automatically or from the result dialog.
- Hide entries without deleting them; they stay in your list, off the wheel.
- Paste a whole list at once, one entry per line, and copy it back out the same way.
- Seven color palettes plus fully custom colors, borders and pointer styles.
- Tick sound and confetti you can switch off.
- Fullscreen mode for a classroom projector or a stream.
- No signup and nothing to install: wheels save on your device as you edit.
- Download the wheel as a PNG image.
Make your own spin the wheel
Classroom picker
Put the class on the wheel, go fullscreen on the projector, and let it choose who answers. Remove-after-spin makes sure everyone gets a turn before anyone repeats, and the history list is your record of who has been called.
Giveaways and raffles
Paste the entrants, spin once in front of everyone, and the winner is beyond argument: the draw is uniform over the entries and the wheel lands where the random number says. Spin again with the winner removed for runners-up.
What to eat
The classic. List the restaurants or the dishes nobody can choose between and let the wheel end the debate. Weight your favorite if you want a thumb on the scale; the bigger slice tells everyone exactly how much of a thumb.
Party games and forfeits
Truth or dare options, challenge wheels, prize wheels for a stall or a stream. The tick, the slow ease to a stop and the confetti are the point: the wheel builds the moment better than drawing a name from a hat.
Small decisions you keep re-litigating
Which task first, which game tonight, whose turn to cook. Make the wheel once, it stays saved on your device, and next time the argument starts you just open it and spin.
Common questions
Is the wheel truly random?
Yes, as random as a browser can be. Each spin draws the winner with crypto.getRandomValues, the cryptographic random generator built into your browser, weighted by each entry weight. The animation is built around the drawn result, not the other way round, so the spin time and the number of revolutions never change the odds. Equal weights mean an exactly even draw.
Can I make some entries more likely to win?
Yes. Every entry has a weight, and the default is 1. An entry with weight 3 gets three times the slice and three times the odds of an entry with weight 1. Because the slice grows with the weight, the wheel never hides what the odds are: what you see is what gets drawn.
Can I remove the winner after a spin?
Two ways. The result dialog has a remove button, which is right for drawing first, second and third place. Or switch on remove-after-spin in the settings and the wheel does it automatically every time. Removed entries are hidden rather than deleted, so you can bring them all back for the next round.
Does it save my wheels?
Automatically, on your device: every wheel autosaves to your browser storage as you edit, and it is there when you come back on the same browser. If you sign in, you can also keep wheels in your account library and open them from another device. Wheels are never published to a public page; the wheel is yours, not a post.
Do I need an account?
No. The wheel opens, spins and saves on your device without one. An account only adds a library that follows you across devices. There is no paywall behind either.
Is it free?
Yes, all of it: unlimited entries, unlimited spins, unlimited wheels, the palettes, fullscreen, the PNG download. There is no premium tier.
How many entries can the wheel hold?
There is no fixed cap. Labels start shrinking as slices get thin, and past a couple of hundred entries the slices stop being readable, but the draw stays fair at any count. For very long lists, paste them into the text box rather than typing rows one by one.
Can I turn off the sound and the confetti?
Both, separately, in the spin settings. The tick is synthesized in the browser rather than a recording, so there is nothing to download either way, and the setting is remembered with the wheel.
