League of Legends tier list templates

A League of Legends tier list maker for one role, one patch, or a skin set. Add portraits or names, drag them into S through F, and date the board so it is not pretending to outlive the next hotfix.

Also known as: lol tier list, league champion ranking, league of legends role tier list, lol patch tier list.

What people usually rank

A League list that is not dated is a patch list in denial. A list that is not cut to a role is a loading screen.

  • One role on the current patch, which is the list that is actually useful.
  • A single class (assassins, tanks, enchanters) across roles.
  • Skins for one champion, which is an image list.
  • Seasons as a nostalgia board, not mixed with the current patch.
  • Items on the current patch, dated, because they will be gone.

How to make a League of Legends tier list

  1. Name the patch and the role. An undated "ADC tier list" is last month's argument. Put the patch number in the title, pick one role, and do not mix support with jungle on the same rows.
  2. Add that role's champions. Portraits if you have them, text if you want it done between queues. A 160-champion "all roles" board is a loading screen, not a ranking.
  3. Rank the current game, or say you are not. A comfort-pick list and a challenger-win-rate list are different pictures. If you are ranking skins, say skins; a prestige skin in S on a patch board is a category error.
  4. Export it before the hotfix. PNG for the Discord. Tomorrow's patch will make someone want a remix, which is what publishing is for.

What you can do

  • A role-sized set (twenty to forty champions) stays readable as a picture.
  • Portraits or text, including mixed boards when you only have art for mains.
  • A description field for the patch, the build, or the one matchup that justifies the row.
  • Rows you can rename to the actual ladder your friends use.
  • Touch drag between games.
  • PNG export, no account, nothing drawn over the portraits.

Make your own tier list

One role, this patch

The only League list that is useful rather than decorative. Date it. Throw it away next Wednesday.

Skins for one champion

An image list. Small, mean, and not pretending to be a win-rate argument.

A class across roles

Assassins, enchanters, tanks. Say so, so a jungle assassin and a mid assassin can sit on the same board on purpose.

Seasons

A nostalgia list. Do not mix it with the current patch; Season 5 and today's jungle are not in the same game.

Common questions

Should I date the list?

Yes, with the patch number, if it is about who is strong. An undated champion list is read as current and then it is wrong.

Can I rank every champion?

You can. A role or a class will actually get finished and stay readable. A full-roster board is a loading screen.

Is this an official League product?

No. League of Legends is a trademark of its owner. This is a blank ranking board you fill yourself.

Can I rank skins instead of champions?

Yes. Use images, name the champion in the title, and do not mix skin opinions with patch strength.

Do I need an account?

Not to make or export. Publishing a public page needs an account.
