What people usually rank
A Pokémon list is almost never "every creature that exists". Pick a closed set or the board never ends.
- A single generation of creatures, which is the only way an "all of them" list stays finishable.
- The three starters from each generation, or every starter together.
- Legendaries and mythicals as a set of their own, so they are not crowding a regional dex.
- Competitive roles: sweepers, walls, supports, and whatever the current format actually uses.
- Gym leaders, rivals, professors, or regions, when the argument is about the games rather than the dex.
How to make a Pokémon tier list
- Decide which dex you are ranking. A board of every creature ever printed is how lists die unfinished. Pick a generation, a regional dex, the starters, or the legendaries, and add only those. You can start another list later for the rest.
- Drop the portraits in. Upload a folder of sprites or official art in one pass. Type names for anything you do not have art for. Each entry can carry a form, a type pairing, or a short note so two lookalikes stay distinct.
- Place them on a closed question. Competitive viability, design, or "which one would I actually walk around with" are three different lists. Label the rows for the question you are answering, then drag. Mixing those questions on one board is how the comments become a definition fight.
- Export the picture. Download a PNG for the thread, or publish it here so someone who disagrees can open their own copy with every creature already on the board.

Make your own tier list
One generation, finished
The only "all Pokémon" list that people complete is a single generation. Upload that dex, rank it, export it, then start generation two as a second board if you still have opinions.
Starters only
Three creatures per generation is a small enough set that everyone has an order, and the fight is really about the first partner they had.
Legendaries as their own list
Putting legendaries on a regional dex board crowds everything else into B. Give them a list of their own, or admit the question changed.
Design, not usage
A "looks cool" list and a VGC list should not share a title. Rename the rows so a reader knows which argument they walked into.
Common questions
Can I rank every Pokémon on one board?
You can add as many entries as you like. The lists people actually finish are a generation, a regional dex, the starters, or another closed set. An "every creature" board is how ranking sessions stall.
Do I need official sprites?
No. Any images you have the right to use will do, and text entries cover the rest. The maker does not ship a Pokédex.
Is this an official Pokémon product?
No. Pokémon is a trademark of its owners. This is a blank ranking board you fill yourself. Nothing here is licensed, sponsored, or official.
Can I start from a template?
Yes, if someone has published one. Open it as your own copy; editing the copy never changes the original. Otherwise start blank and add the set you care about.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Press and hold to lift an entry, drag it into a row, and the board scrolls at the edges. Tap to place is there if you would rather not drag.
